Everyone loves music, and whether you want to sit back and indulge in symphonic classical sounds, tap along with some jazz, or rave all night, there is somewhere in New Haven to get your musical fix this fall.

Classical music fans won’t want to miss out on Yale’s Concert Band’s fall performance. Directed by Thomas C. Duffy, Yale’s wind symphony opens the 99th season on Friday, October 7. Admission is free, and the concert is open to the public. Find more information here.

If you like Jazz, clubs like Cafe 9 and Firehouse 12 will be hosting live Jazz performances as well as open jam sessions throughout October — so you can sit back and enjoy the music, or, if you feel so inclined, get up and join!

If popular music is more your speed, College Street Music Hall is welcoming artists like Andrew Bird and Regina Spekter, along with The Rocky Horror Picture Show 40th Anniversary Film Screening Party on October 30th to celebrate Halloween.
